Why a Natural Finish?

Many people, especially children, may suffer from the off-gassing that occurs with plywood, composite woods and polyurethane finishes.

Our furniture is simple and all wood - no plywood, no composite, no faux finished wood. Natural oak, cherry, walnut and poplar, made in Ohio, from U.S. eco-friendly lumber.

The Amish have a simple way of doing things. They make solid quality constructed furniture meant to last generations. After all if you are going to do something once you should do it right!

Our Mission style collection consists of: bed, dresser, chest on chest and nightstand.

Our Plain style collection consists of: bed, or bunk bed, dresser, lingerie chest, armoire, and nightstand.

We hand-finish with shellac or tung oil, each piece with care and attention.

Our beds are made to fit our mattresses and offer years of support. However if you already have a futon mattress, we can offer you a futon frame at an additional charge.

Since each piece is handmade, please give up to 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Amish built frames- photos coming of those soon, local oak, birch and maple, family harvested, air dried, solid and high quality craftsmanship

Custom made frames- one of kind, and made to your specs, may take up to 3 months

Samples

You can order a sample packet of material for $20, which will includes fabrics, batting, and latex. Wood samples are also available for our exposed wool furniture for $20: see the woods and how they look shellacked. Each of these is samples is good for $15 worth off a purchase of a piece of furniture.

If you are looking for something a little smaller than a sofa, but roomier than a loveseat, then our LOFA is just right! At 69 inches in length and generous 30 inch 6 inch latex cushions on the bottom and 4 inch 3o inches cushion the side, you are getting a great comfortable chair. Each piece is hand made from an Amish built Oak frame. We use no plywood or chipboard, only all wood. Wood is from a local forest that is sustainable harvested. The Lofa can be covered in a slip cover for $800 this includes an extra set of seat and back cushion done in a choice of fabrics. Of course if you provide your own fabric a slip cover can be done as well. The is a great loveseat that offers PBDE, boric acid and chemicals free comfort at an affordable price.
