| Building a latex mattress and box support- the natural way of flexibility.
This mattress is approximate 7.5 inches thick, with a 6 inch latex core and quilted cover. Sleep on a cloud that is naturally anti-microbial, resistant to mold, mildew and dust mites and can last up to 30 years.
We have built one right before your eyes and you are also welcome to visit our facility and watch your mattress being made. Please note there are NO Amish people in these photos, you only see English (what they call us NON-Amish folk).

The bottom is quilted and sewn to a quilted side border. We then place the latex core inside, it is quite heavy. Please note there are NO Amish people in any of these photos. This is one of the owners helping build a mattress. Note the holes in the latex to allow for breathing and flexibility.
Organic cotton quilted to all natural wool, in a zippered cover for washing.

Again, you can see the zippered cover for this mattress. It is removeable and can be aired out and washed in a washing machine. No agitation, but soak and spin to dry!

The cover just zips right on, cool!

The cover is all zipped up and
the mattress is done!
Wow, that was fast. If we had not been
standing around yaking, it would have been
less than 10 minutes to make this mattress.
(Lets not forget the time and effort that goes into cutting, sewing, and putting in the zipper! OOPS!)

Now for the Supportive Box Support- multi slat design with cover and felted wool topper for extra firmness.
NOTE the needled felted wool, too cool!

with needle felted wool on top.
Box support is made locally, at a nearby Amish facility

Susie is cutting the needle felted wool (man this stuff is thick and murder on a good pair of scissors!)
Box cover is placed on, this is
pre-sewn, for easy construction.
The quilted cover is pulled tight and then
stapled to the box support.
Cover is all stapled on, ready for the next step.

Okay, so the fabric top and the cover all are done, and we place on the plastic edge guards (yes I know, they are plastic, but they do not make natural edge guards!)! |

The mattress and box support are All done!!!
